Buffalo or Bison, raised on the farm in a half section (a section of land is 1
square mile) of unbroken prairie pasture for their healthy meat, bring a taste of the
untamed old west to Possibility Farm. Seventy-five cows with calves roam the land
eating and wandering the land much the same way as their ancestors did before
the white man came to the great plains.
A two year old bull or heifer is the prime age for harvesting for meat, The hunter
may choose the animal to be taken to a rolling pasture on the backside of Lake
Byron where the hunt will take place. The best time for harvesting a head mount
and hide in prime condition is in the cold winter months of December, January, and
February.
Each hunt is scheduled for the convenience of the hunter. Call (605 352-6356) or
email farmadventure@nrctv.com for prices and arrangement for your hunt. Harold
will be happy to help you with the details.
